Chocksett’s Student Council is open to students in grades 5-8. In addition to organizing many school activities, “STUCO” will also give students an opportunity to work as a team and develop strong leadership qualities.

7th/8th Grade Gaming Club
Students from the 7th and 8th Grade will be able to engage in a variety of activities and games designed to promote thinking skills and encourage social engagement of other students. This club will focus on different kinds of non-computer gaming, from classics like Chess and Backgammon, to card games like Magic the Gathering, to miniature games like Star Wars X-Wing and Warhammer 40k, to board games like Risk, Ticket to Ride, and Catan. Other appropriate games will be welcomed. Students can bring their own, and are encouraged to invite other 7th and 8th graders to join!

The Chocksett AV Club will be starting on October 9th and representatives from Lancaster Public Access will demonstrate how to use audio visual tools in creating a television broadcast. Interested students should have their parents sign the permission slip and return the form to Mrs. Melanson.

Students from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades who join the Chocksett Model UN Club (MUN) will be given the chance to engage in a variety of leadership discussions and activities regarding the world around them. Students will meet to share their thoughts and discuss their findings on current events, history, and geography. The goal of this club is to give students a means of becoming active members of their global community. Meetings will primarily take place on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am. In the weeks leading up to a conference we may meet twice weekly.
